Os, You can earn 10,000 Membership Rewards(R) points after you Refer a Friend

American Express is running a promotion where if I refer a friend to the American Express Premier Rewards Gold, I'll earn up to 10,000 membership rewards(MR) points for each referral up to 55,000 MR per year.  Currently the signup bonus for this card is paltry 25,000 MR after 2K spend in 3 months and the annual fee of $195 is waived the first year. Along with the card you get annual $100 statement credit for airline incidental fees each calendar year you own the card.  Despite the low amount of points, it still could get you almost two free nights if you also spend an additional $3,000 at hotels like in the picture below.
